Victoria Falls, Southern Africa

The Victoria Falls are some of the largest waterfalls in the world. It is located on the Zambezi River bordered the country of  Zambia and Zimbabwe in the southern Africa. The Victoria Falls has width 1708 meters and height 108 meters, forming the largest sheet of falling water in the world. During the wet season over 500 million liters of water plummets over the edge into the Zambezi River.





The Victoria Falls has been claimed as the world largest waterfalls in the list of World Heritage and considered by some to be among the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. There are two island on the crest of the falls : Boaroka Island near the western bank and Livingstone Island. The best view of Victoria Falls are from Livingstone Island on the Zambian side.
